Who is the ideal candidate for Invisalign®?
The best candidate for Invisalign® is someone with mild to moderate tooth misalignment, crowding, or gapped teeth. Screening for gum disease and decay is essential, as treatment should be delayed if there is an active infection.
How does Invisalign® work?
The Invisalign® system utilises a series of translucent removable, moulded trays that position teeth using gentle pressure. Each set of aligners is shaped slightly differently than the previous one, nudging specific areas throughout your bite.
Is there an age limit for Invisalign®?
Invisalign was initially meant for adult orthodontic patients. However, responsible teens may also qualify for clear aligners. There is no age limit to Invisalign®.
Is Invisalign® better than other types of orthodontics or braces?
For our patients searching for a subtle, convenient way to strengthen their teeth, The Invisalign® system is the clear leader; especially if you want to avoid traditional orthodontic designs. Functionally, Invisalign® tends to be just as effective at managing mild to moderate tooth misalignment as conventional braces.
Who is the ideal candidate for Composite Bonding?
The best candidate for composite bonding has healthy teeth and gums with minor chips, gaps, or discoloration. As with Invisalign®, any decay or gum disease must be treated first to ensure proper bonding and long-lasting results.
How does Composite Bonding work?
Composite bonding works by applying a tooth-colored resin to the enamel, which is shaped and hardened with a special light. This bonds the material to the tooth, restoring its shape, color, and appearance.
Is there an age limit for Composite Bonding?
There’s no strict age limit for composite bonding, but teeth and gums must be healthy. It’s suitable for most adults and older teens once their teeth are fully developed.
